:EDIT: I moved her leg....! I think her pose looks a little more dramatic now~ Also, her eye's aren't quite right yet....I'll keep editing though...!
So....!
Lately I have been eager to step outside my box and try new things with my subject matter.

put me up to the challenge of creating a series of 'sci-fi' characters, complete with character sheets, sketches, atmosphere backgrounds, and a couple of scenes from the 'story'.

I don't feel that I've thought this through to deeply (since it is only a mock-story) but I decided to combine native american-esq features with a sci-fi enviroment.

This is the first of other characters from 'Space Natives' (haha~ sorry for such a lousy name...and logo! haha!)

'Nova', my lead female antagonist.

I like this overall, but I feel I have a long-ways to go until I feel comfortable with this type of subject matter...I took inspiration from Ashley Wood, if you couldn't notice ~

I feel there are a couple of issues with her face- but I do like her pose quite a bit.

I haven't actually done much realism digitally and I will say it's a big challenge for me. And, I'm so far-behind with fully understanding anatomy, but I feel this was a little bit of a step up for me.

Realism has always been a challenge for me...but I'm definitely looking forward to keep trying....
